Free PDF · 14 checklists and preparation worksheets · No signup required

Choose the platforms you use or plan to use. Skip the others. Start with the shared worksheet, then work through one profile at a time. Optional items can wait; items marked If available depend on your account or region.

Use the boxes as you work. They are not saved between visits. Download the PDF to print and keep your completed sheets.

Prepare once

Collect your assets

Keep these files and details together, then adapt them for each profile. You can print the preparation worksheet from the PDF.

Shared worksheet

Write your profile copy

Fill in the details below before opening each account. The bracketed wording is a prompt for your own church information.

Public church name and city
Use the name people will recognize on the building and website.
Preferred handle and fallback
Keep a record of the handle used on each platform.
Primary visitor link
Choose a page that explains when and where to visit.
Public email and phone
Use contact channels your church checks.
Meeting address and service times
Add a time zone for streamed services and separate office hours.
Compact bio
[Church name] in [city]. Join us [day/time]. [Next step].
Fuller About paragraph
Introduce the church, explain what you share here, and tell a visitor where to find service and contact details.

Keep service schedules in editable text or on your visitor page so a time change does not require new cover artwork everywhere.

File preparation

Export the right image for each profile

Start with the editable originals. Export separate files for the accounts you use. The specifications below come from the linked platform documentation; the 2,000 px square master is our working-file recommendation. Use the current upload preview to check cropping.

YouTube
Banner: 2,560 x 1,440 px recommended; 2,048 x 1,152 px minimum; 6 MB maximum. At the minimum canvas size, the text/logo safe area is 1,235 x 338 px. Scale that central area with the canvas and review device previews. Official guidance
LinkedIn Page
Logo: 400 x 400 px recommended, 268 x 268 px minimum. Page cover: 1,512 x 256 px in the current help page. PNG or JPEG, up to 3 MB. These are organization Page sizes. Official guidance
X
Profile photo: 400 x 400 px recommended. Header: 1,500 x 500 px recommended. Leave room for cropping and the profile photo overlay. Official guidance
Pinterest
Business cover: at least 800 x 450 px; a horizontal 16:9 image is recommended. A 1,600 x 900 px export is our suggested working size. Official guidance
Twitch
Profile banner: 1,200 x 480 px recommended. Profile image: JPEG, PNG or GIF, no larger than 10 MB. Banner cropping changes with browser width. Official guidance
Google Business Profile
General photo guidance: JPG or PNG, 10 KB to 5 MB, at least 250 x 250 px; 720 x 720 px recommended. Keep wider originals for cover crops. Official guidance
Other profile images and covers
Export from your square logo and editable cover masters. Use the size limit, crop and field counter shown by the current uploader. Keep a copy of each final export; one banner shape will not fit every platform.
01 / Church Page

Facebook checklist

Use the church's Page for public visitor information. Start by switching into the Page you manage, then open its profile or About editing controls.

Have these ready

Square logo, editable Page cover, short description, visitor URL, public email and phone, meeting address and service times.

Use the current upload preview for the profile image and cover. The basic information fields available depend on the Page category. Keep time-sensitive details in editable text.

02 / Public church profile

Instagram checklist

Open the church profile and choose Edit profile. Prepare a short introduction that identifies the church and gives a visitor one useful next step.

Have these ready

Square logo, compact bio, visitor URL and selected supporting links. Prepare Highlight covers only if you use Highlights.

Fit the bio to the field counter in your account and check the circular image crop. Contact and category controls depend on the account type and options shown in your profile.

03 / Church channel

YouTube checklist

In YouTube Studio, open Customization, then Profile. Give viewers a clear connection between the channel, the church and your visitor information.

Have these ready

Square logo, channel banner, channel description, labeled links and public contact email. A short channel welcome video is optional.

Use a 2,560 x 1,440 px banner at 6 MB or less. See the export guide for the minimum-size safe area. The channel supports profile links and a business contact email.

04 / Church profile

TikTok checklist

Open Profile, then Edit profile. Make the church recognizable before adding optional profile features.

Have these ready

Square logo, short bio, city and visitor URL. An existing introductory video can serve as welcome content.

TikTok's website-link guidance lists at least 1,000 followers or a Registered Business Account. A business account type alone is not the same as registration. Use the options available in your account.

Snapchat checklist

Identify which kind of profile you manage before filling this out. A regular Public Profile and a Business Profile have different setup paths and options.

Have these ready

Profile image, cover or background image, short bio, location and visitor URL for fields available on the account.

Business Profiles are created and managed in Ads Manager and are separate from ordinary Public Profiles. Use the account's crop previews and available fields; professional options are not available to everyone.

10 / Public church account

Bluesky checklist

Give this public account a clear church identity and a useful description. Do not treat the profile as a private church group.

Have these ready

Square logo, horizontal banner, short description, city and church website destination.

Bluesky's profile schema allows a description of 256 graphemes and PNG/JPEG avatar and banner files up to 1,000,000 bytes each. Check the editor's field counter and available website controls.

11 / Church or disclosed church communicator

Reddit checklist

Complete the account profile and make its church affiliation clear. This checklist does not require starting or moderating a subreddit.

Have these ready

Profile image or avatar, banner, display name, short bio and useful social or website links.

13 / Local discovery companion

Google Business Profile checklist

Use this companion sheet for the church's Google presence. Start with an existing listing if one is already present and follow Google's ownership and eligibility instructions.

Have these ready

Real church name, address and map destination, public phone, website, hours, description, logo and current entrance/interior photographs.

The description allows up to 750 characters and excludes URLs and HTML. Social-link and chat features vary by region. Keep worship times distinct from office hours.

14 / Messaging companion

WhatsApp Business checklist

Complete the church's public contact profile in WhatsApp Business. This is separate from starting a group or community.

Have these ready

Public church number, square profile image, business name, description, category, address, response hours, email and website.

The business profile holds public contact and organization details. Cover-photo and username options are still being rolled out; complete them only if they appear in your account.

Before you finish

Check the visitor experience

Use this final check for each profile you complete. View it as someone who is new to your church.

Keep a copy for your team
